Shades of Hope

Silver wings,

Alighted on my hands

Danced before my eye

& fluttered through the skies.

Golden wings,

Far as far go the lands

Far as far go the skies

Rose with a flame of sighs

And in that hour of crescent moon

And that hour of golden light

They cast forth their melodious croon

And thus began my heavenward flight

Over the hill n’ through the clouds

Through a bed of roses of varied shades

Through woven stars, their heavenly sounds

Left a ray of love of golden shades.

Far across time, when they will fly past

And find me pensive of a solitary heart

They will again dance before my eyes

And bring back to me, my smiling sighs

I will then smile over that golden light

And begin my next heavenward flight.

Little Melon Lover

A little girl lived on the banks of a curly river;
she was little, round, plump and daily getting bigger.
‘The Girl’, just that was her name;
even though it sounded so lame.

This girl loved sweets and fruits;
and most of all, she liked melons.
She bought ladles of these fruits
and bought all sorts, red & yellow, tasty & juicy melons.

Once she went to a little village town;
known for its scrumptious melons.
there she saw it, the melon worth a crown;
for truly, it was a king of all melons.

Large and round it was, with dark stripes;
green like grass, big as sailing ships.
the fruit held flavours of a hundred types;
and The girl started wetting her lips.

She had no control and bought it whole;
no flavours to spare, all of it together;
and brought it back home, brought it whole;
to enjoy all the delicious flavours together.

but alas! On the way back, it rolled off;
“Oh my melon, come back…” She cried.
it paid no heed and went off & off;
pieces of it broke off. “Oh my melon”, she cried.

but such was written in the stars;
no man (or woman) shall enjoy these tastes;
unless he (or she) shares it from Earth to Mars;
so “SPLASH!” went a large bit into water with all the tastes.

and therefore dears, if you ever see;
a melon growing large and juicy sweet.
Know that this little girl, little though was she;
was one round, plumb reason why its so sweet.

For the waters of the curly river flowed on with the sweet;
and made all the melons of the world a real treat.

Past

A Door Into The Past

As I see and remember my past pieces;
which are the strings binding my past;
a sequence plays before my very eyes.
They never fail to remind me;
of all I had achieved.
And never fail to sadden me;
over all I have lost.

These words written in black & blue;
and red & green.
Remind me that this whole world;
simply is mean.
Though there are people, yet none for you;
only for themselves.

Therefore, this Door Into the Past;
I must close;
but should I? They are all the memories;
of my own prose.
Different though, am I, but can I;
bear part with all?

Your Name – Bright Forever

On this plain today;
on that one tomorrow;
resurrect goodness here today;
move on there tomorrow.

For old trees may wither;

But your name is bright forever.

Appreciate what all a tree gives;
people throw stones, he forgives;
fruits fall down, and are taken;
the tree, then happily lives.

For old trees may wither;

But your name is bright forever.

Go ahead for you can do it;
change the world, as we know it;
mankind simply sees evils;
you go strive against it.

For old trees may wither;

But your name is bright forever.

Float above this sky;
people will pass you by;
turn away an army by your name;
The world will, in peace fly.

For old trees may wither;

But your name is bright forever.

Remembrance of Dawn

In my eyes, a dream was drawn;
as the moon got filtered by;
& black clouds shielded the sun in the sky;
came to me, the remembrance of dawn.

The remembrance of all things, wonderful;
the beauty of all things, colourful;
it was your face that was drawn;
the memory of a friend, remarkable.

Those clouds of cheerful, cheerful rain;
all my sadness, away they did drain;
the beauty which no world may contain;
few words summarize what may remain.

My friend, you are affectionate & kind;
your memories, most beloved, i find;
what affection I can count upon;
gives to me, the remembrance of dawn.

Talk to Nature

First, the moon gets filtered by;
Then black clouds take over the sky.
Never will forget that, I;
What beauty prevails in thy.

Like the lightning clap in clouds;
That shadow when upon the moon bowed.
You announcing it out loud;
What beauty you have been bestowed

The cover of those lovely flowers;
That made this garden a glower;
Those beautiful valleys and mounts;
Such beauties in you, I can count.

No doubt as to who made you;
And those droplets of tender dew.
Allah is the one, the Almighty;
He is the Lord, your creator, the Mighty.

Song for a Friend

Splashes soft, gentle and low;

sounding on the pool of love, they echo.

Moon peeks out when all lights hide;

what love found, by your side.

In the moonlight, I saw your face;

shadowed under the night sky,  a star;

glowing bright, giving rays of admiration;

what beauty you have been bestowed.

when lightning clapped in clouds;

tender drops, slowly fell, blushed by your beauty;

beam of love went through the wet clouds;

as they heard your soft and gentle voice.

Flying Through the sky;

Angels Passing us by;

wonders unknown to the eye;

in great love, we fly.
